DESCRIPTION
Botanical Name: Citrus Aurantium Origin: China, India, Paraguay, Haiti Extracting Method: Steam Distillation Plant Part: Leaves and Twigs Note: Top Aromatic Profile: Fresh and sweet. Petitgrain essential oil is derived from the leaves and twigs of the bitter orange tree. It has a fresh, woody, and slightly floral aroma that makes it a popular ingredient in perfumes and colognes. Where neroli comes from the blossom and bitter orange from the peel, petitgrain carries the green, leafy side of the same tree — crisp, a little bittersweet, and quietly elegant. It can be used topically in massage oils once diluted in a carrier, or added to a diffuser for a calm, clean-smelling room.
