DESCRIPTION

The Assam varietal is used to create a delicate green tea in the hills near Doi Wawee, in Thailand's northern provinces. Chaidim sources quality Assam tea plants from a small family operation that grows and produces the tea using techniques similar to Japanese green tea production, using cover and shade to allow the tea to develop more flavor. Our Assam green tea is small leaf, tippy and rolled. Its taste is savory, grassy and vegetal, with a fine aroma and a slight peppery note. It is a very enjoyable tea for mornings and afternoons, on its own or paired with fish dishes at lunch, or simply alongside your favorite meal.
