Botanical name: Michelia Champaca. Origin: Thailand, India. Extracting Method: Solvent Extracted. Plant Part: Flowers. Note: Middle. Aromatic Profile: Heavy, deep floral with notes of dried fruits and tea, sultry. Champaca absolute is a highly aromatic extract derived from the flowers of the champaca tree, a blossom long woven into Thai garlands and laid at temple altars. It is widely used in the perfume industry for its sweet, floral fragrance. Diluted here to 25% in jojoba oil, champaca absolute is a viscous, yellowish liquid with a strong, sweet, and floral aroma that is often described as exotic, sensual, and romantic. It is highly concentrated and should be used sparingly in perfumes and other aromatic products, where a single drop is enough to turn a blend heady and warm.
